Our Mission

The Maple Dale–Indian Hill Parent Teacher Organization (MDIH PTO) is a volunteer organization dedicated to fostering community through inclusive events that nurture connection and belonging; building relationships between parents and teachers through grants and in-class support; and providing educational and growth opportunities beyond the classroom to help every child thrive. 

About the Maple Dale–Indian Hill PTO

The Maple Dale–Indian Hill Parent Teacher Organization (MDIH PTO) serves families of all students in grades K4 through 8. We warmly welcome every level of participation—whether you can share your time, talents, or expertise. Our events and committees offer a variety of ways for parents and caregivers to get involved, both in person and behind the scenes, with flexible time commitments that fit your schedule.

The PTO’s mission is to build a strong sense of community within our district while providing meaningful financial support for our schools. Throughout the year, we host engaging events that bring families together and strengthen our school community. Past events have included The Dragon Dash, Global Fest, Family Fun Nights, and The Carnival.

In addition to our events, we also offer ongoing opportunities for parent involvement, such as our Room Parent Program, which connects parents directly with teachers, students, and other families in the classroom setting.

Every dollar raised by the PTO goes directly back to support Maple Dale–Indian Hill. Our funding priorities center on enriching the educational experience for all students, with a special emphasis on programming that extends learning beyond the classroom. Examples include field trips, character and community-building workshops, artist-in-residence programs, and author visits. The PTO works closely with teachers and school administrators to determine how best to allocate funds to meet the needs of our students and staff.
